How do we produce caviar?
Our Russian sturgeon caviar comes from controlled aquaculture in which animals are kept under sustainable conditions. In 2014, a special technology was developed by scientists which allows producers to remove precious sturgeon caviar without having to kill the sturgeon. This way, wild stocks are protected and breeding has become more economical. Caviar obtained from the Russian sturgeon is carefully cleaned and checked for quality. Very little salt is added in order to make it durable. It also helps intensify the fine aromas so that caviar, such as in the GreenLine products, can be free from preservatives.
Russian sturgeon caviar is traditionally packed in a tin can. For some time now, manufacturers have also been using glass for packaging, as it has excellent hygienic and tasteless properties as well.
