However, it will be enough to simply rub the fish with salt, as this removes the liquid, which will allow the fish to preserve longer.
Smoking salmon is also very easy. The fish is placed in brine made up of salt, sugar and water. However, you can also choose the dry option. In this case, no water is added, but black pepper is used instead. Then the salmon is placed in the fridge, preferably overnight. It would also be good to weigh it down. Then the fish is dried for 24 hours and smoked for three to four hours. You see, this is how easily smoked salmon is made!
