Pink salmon is the most widespread and fastest growing type of salmon in the Pacific Ocean. Thanks to this its caviar is reasonably affordable, nevertheless it’s impossible to sell it on a larger scale. It remains a delicacy. You can tell pink salmon caviar by its unmistakable taste. It is large in size – up to five millimetres. But at the same time it’s the smallest of the salmon caviar found in the Pacific Ocean. It has soft bright-orange eggs that melt in the mouth.
It’s possible to call chum salmon caviar the true queen of red caviar. It’s 5-8 mm in size. Also, the eggs of the chum salmon are distinguished by a dense shell and the most delicate taste. It will embellish any festive spread. The caviar is dark brown in colour. The eggs are easy to separate.
